What type of identity proof do I need to have with me?

I did not have a chance to fill out my document before getting it notarized. Can I do that later and still have it notarized?

  • All documents must be completely filled out in advance, except where your signature is needed.

I just moved here and my documents are in a different language. Can you still notarize?

  • All documents must be in English.

Can library staff or a patron serve as my witness?

  • If a witness is required, the person requesting Notary service is responsible for providing all witnesses needed. The witnesses will also need acceptable photo ID, as listed above.
  • The library will not provide witnesses, and witnesses may not be solicited from patrons using the library.

Oops, I already signed my document, what do I do?

  • A notary cannot notarize documents that have already been signed. Please complete and bring in a fresh copy of your form without a signature so that it can be signed in the presence of a notary.
